IBM has unveiled its new platform, IBM Digital Asset Haven, designed to serve as an end-to-end solution for financial institutions, governments, and corporations entering the digital asset economy. The offering combines custody, transaction execution, and settlement services with built-in compliance frameworks—addressing a critical gap in institutional infrastructure.

Developed in partnership with custody specialist Dfns, the platform leverages IBM's enterprise-grade security and Dfns' wallet infrastructure, which already supports 15 million wallets across 250 clients. Tokenization and stablecoin adoption are driving demand for such solutions, particularly among traditional finance players seeking to modernize their offerings.

Notably absent are direct mentions of specific cryptocurrencies or exchanges, reflecting IBM's agnostic approach to underlying assets. The platform emphasizes programmable compliance features like multi-party approvals and residency controls—capabilities likely to appeal to regulated entities dipping their toes into digital assets.
